Starving
All the time! haha. Day 9 for me and this still hasn't stopped. I'm trying to eat as clean as i can and have been cooking very healthy meals as one of my new years resolutions... I just invested in a slow cooker to help me with this!!
But today, i am going to give in and have a big massive bowl of cheesy, pesto pasta. I NEED IT lol xx

Learning about addiction whether it be
alcohol, drug, gambling and food is important.
There are many programs available to us
to help us become more knowledgeable
about addiction and they give us tools
to help us use in our everyday affairs to
guide us in living a more healthy, happy,
honest way of life.
As we learn in recovery for alcohol addiction,
we need to make changes in our life. We need
to change old habits and replace them with
healthier ones.
We learn to remove all poisons, alcohol,
drugs out of our homes so they wont be
a temptation to us when we are learning
to remain sober or clean. The same thing
goes for food. Addiction to food is just as
dangerous to our health as many other
addiction.
I heard and learned that if the bad foods
are not in my home then I wont eat it and
wont be tempted to eat it when im going
thru emotional roller coaster rides.
I too luv food just like many. I too struggle
with ups and downs with weight. And then
when we get older, our hormones change
and food affects our health and bodies differently.
Just like programs for Alcoholics Anonymous,
AA, Narcotics Anonymous. NA, there is one
for OverEaters Anonymous. Im sure they have
lots of imformation and possibly a meeting
near you to attend for support if food is a
problems like many of us.
Ive been eating fish, broccoli, chicken,
avocadas, oatmeal, mixed frozen veggies,
staying away from carbs or white foods.
Researching for the right, healthier foods
mixed with walking, gardening, moving
around can aid in helping to lose a few
unwanted pounds.
Its not gonna happen over night so I
have to take it each day at a time coming
here for support, reading knowledgeable
information on what foods are better for
me to eat.
Look at what you wrote about eating
a big bowl of pasta. Ask yourself if you
really want to fill our tummy with all
that. Then think of how you will really
feel after you eat it and how it will be
just sitting there inside ur stomach. Full
and filled with remorse or guilt for eating
it.
I know I would and would beat myself up
over it then vow to never torture myself
with all the heavy pasta in my stomach .
As long as it is not in my home I wont
eat it. And I try to remind myself when
I make my grocery list.
One day at a time learning healthy
ways to eat properly and take care
of the one body, mind and soul I
was born with and treat it with respect
so it can take care of me in the long run.
Id throw away the pasta before I cook
it. All of it. Out of sight. Out of mind.
Replace it with healthy protein and veggies.

I agree....feed what your soul wants, and if pesto pasta is what it wants, go for it followed by chocolate sounds like a win win. For your crock pot, I just did chicken thighs in mine with a can of cream of chicken soup, then pulled all the bones once it was cooked, and added some frozen veg and made chicken pot pies. Holy crap were they ever good on a freezing cold night. Not exactly gourmet but definitely comforting. Congrats on 9 days
eat away friend, your body wouldn't be starving if it didn't need it. It's not like you are eating McDonalds 5 times a day
A full stomach is healthy, especially right now. For me it is the biggest tool I have to stay sober and keep cravings at bay. It makes me feel good, and I am all for that.
