Mr J,I had to stop working in Oct due to the anxiety I was experiencing at work.Do you see a Dr. about your anxiety? By the way,it's -9 Farenheit here in Wisconsin.
Maybe you could try some reading, good luck.

I had a lot of anxiety/ panic attacks from drinking, but they have stopped since I quit drinking. One thing I used to do that helped when I had them was chamomile tea.

Hi guys, have to work, stoppings not an option. Did anyone feel a bit depressed for a while when they quit?

Hi mrjustin
Yes I felt moody, and had anxiety attacks once in a while after quitting. But now they are very rare.

Maybe it has to do because I'm not drinking coffee, but tea; or maybe our bodies are healing & all this is natural.

Yes I relate. I'm about as new as you are to quitting. Insomnia was horrible for about a week, still bad. You might have trouble with insomnia and anxiety that isn't related to alcohol and visinig a doctor or sleep specialist if you can is probably a good idea. I found exercising and stretching right before I go to bed and then again when I wake up in the middle of the night has a way of relaxing my muscles and putting me right to sleep some nights.

Exercise is a great stress reliever for a lot of people. We're still adjusting to sober life. I think we'll start finding more answers to different struggles the longer we stay sober. Congrats on making it this far

I did. Suddenly felt like a black hole had opened up in my mind. It's eased off a bit now.

Also I still have to concentrate to get to sleep, but the sleep is good and refreshing now. I'm three months in.

Hang in there, Justin.
