Don't give in.

You have the power to stop.
Anything other is a drag to blow.

Probably felt the same as you nearly 3 years ago . Stare at a wall if you have to , grind it out surf the craving , they do go !

Btw running helped and still does in a major way .

Drink and its return to rinse and repeat Groundhog Day life . Play the tape through always leads to the same ****.

I know, for me, self control or self will would only take me so far. I had to get to the reason I drank like I did to begin with. A recovery program can help you do that.

If I had not discovered why I wanted to run away into the bottle, even on good days, then there was no way I was going to stay sober on bad ones.
Self recovery really. I gave up booze to save my marriage and then I started to take it serious, then I have become obsessed.

Even though I am not going to start drinking again, there have been so pretty close calls. I am a son of b---ch so when I put my mind to doing something, I get it done eventually. There are no excuses, no more chances it now or never.

I think this is exactly what happened. My AV said, look you've done a week, you have proven your point. Your normal again.

I told it, me giving up drinking thats forever and chucked down a glass of vimto.

I'm a couple of days behind you Lancashire, and I had a bit of a tough afternoon.
Got through it by eating 2 x crunchies and a double caramel magnum ice cream and took the dog on a long walk.
Let's beat this together pal.
