day 1
day 1
Starting over again for the final time, baby is due in a couple of days so need to take the plunge. Maybe new years eve is an odd time to start but didnt want to wait any longer.
Going to see if I can find a meeting today but not sure if there will be any. Should be nice and busy for the next few days as one of my tenants moves out today so got property renovations to get on with and then fingers crossed will get our new arrival next week.

Well done Marathonman
Today's the best day to start over, what a great feeling it'll be waking up tomorrow with no hangover.
All the best for your new arrival.
What a great start to 2015.
xx

Agree with the others - today is as good a day as any! And, this being NYE, I am certain you will find many meetings happening - full of people just like you & I - who don't want to drink today.
Well done Marathonman! Today is a good day. Depending where you are, there should be plenty of AA meetings to attend. Several places just near me are running "alcathons" all day meetings, every hour on the hour.
Hang in there.

Hi MM. Congrats on the new member of your family -- that's wonderful and is indeed a great time for you to start anew
I'm not an AA'er but did go to a few meetings back in the spring, and was surprised that I got phone calls from some people I met back then during the holidays now, after such a long time. I really did not expect that. One of them said she will spend all day today running meetings and they will have lots of good food. I'm sure there are plenty of these where I live and probably something also where you are. Or if not, then have a nice time with your wife and stick close to SR. All the best

You were just holding out for the cool sobriety date, huh...
You'll never forget your sober birthday; each year the whole world will celebrate with you!
It's time to be done. It's last minute procrastinator time to be done. I send you a hug & a bundle of my very best wishes.
