70 days and I am finding peace
70 days and I am finding peace
First and foremost I need to thank all of you for your positive insight and support. Over the last 70 days mentally, physically and spiritually I have began a epic transformation. For years now I have been told that people want the old Greg back. After this process I understand the old Greg is no longer. This Greg is a stronger smarter and happier man who is looking at the world with new eyes and an childs heart. Do I have cravings yes I am sure I always will. My reward thus far is being able to quell the demon and persevere. I want to wish all of you a blissfull day. Please take the time to smile at someone today or pay a compliment to them because it just may be the thing they need. Again thank you all and love yourselves

This is great to hear, Greg The transformation is what I enjoy best in recovery... experiencing and seeing the changes in my everyday structure, attitude, mental stability, etc. I remember somewhere around the sober time you have now, I had these intense moments of joy that I'm really doing this...staying sober and starting to see perspective again. Such a great feeling.
Keep on rockin'

Congrats on day 70 CNY46ER
I actually found an old old me when I got sober - a me I'd forgotten about...when I added all the knowledge and experience of the intervening years in, I found I really liked the new/old me - Dee 2.0

So glad to hear things are going well for you and that you are smarter and happier now!
I really think part of recovery is accepting who we are now. Rather than looking backward in time to who we were.
Well done
