1 week sober

Well I didn't quit the way I wanted. If you're a newbie I quit by being escorted by 5 police officers to a ambulance where I was placed in 4 point restraints and promptly taken to the hospital where I was pumped with ativan and detoxed while being held on a mental hold. Don't quit that way, it would of been easier had I quit on my own terms

Now the good news! I got one solid week under my belt. A whole week, I am so happy right now I could do cartwheels. I am almost giddy lol!

Phase 2 starts now, inpatient pronto, this time on my own terms. No more hospitals and ambulances. I am sick of that world, its like existing amongst the non existent.

Your terms weren't working. It took forcing, and I'm glad to see you have a week sober.

Detox is one thing, long term recovery another. Please do what is necessary to remain sober.

Jeremy, I am sorry that is how it happened but absolutely thrilled for you to have a week down!

I am also thrilled about you going to inpatient. This is a great thing!

Congrats on one week Jeremy! When does inpatient start? Now that you know it is not so scary, you should go as soon as possible.

I never thought I'd be so happy for someone thousands of miles away, that I don't know from Adam, as I am for you now TDG.

Follow through, bud, and if your AV tries to ambush you before you can get into inpatient, get help fast dealing with it, wherever you can find it. And do some cartwheels!

Jeremy so when r u going to inpatient. If your going to do it do it pronto before u start pushing the idea to the side. Keep up the good work on staying sober but I'm learning this recovery thing takes a plan. Just stop drinking never lasted for me.

I am working on inpatient pretty diligently, I am trying to get in before weeks end. Medicaid and inpatient centers here in town aren't playing nice. Only 3 take medicaid and they are back logged..... Well because they take medicaid.

Last week I was admitted to the mental hospital as you all know. That place had inpatient alcohol treatment, I tried to stay put, but I couldn't. I was on some mental waiver deal medicaid the state mental hospital and the private facilities hashed out. I hate only having medicaid, its making this infinantly more difficult.
