Time for a new start

Hello all, time to make the step to living sober. I've been consumed with alcohol all my adult life. Alcoholism runs in my family so no big surprise there. I recognize I'm in the third stage of alcoholism and ready to cut it out of my life. I have a supporting wife and two beautiful boy's I need to keep in my life and the only way that's going to happen is for me to get sober.

Hello and welcome.
It's great that you recognize you may have a problem. That's a big step.
I drank practicaly my whole life. No excuses, I was just an alcoholic since I took my first drink at fouteen. Thirty five years drunk.
Please don't put yourself through the nightmare of a life that I had and stop now.
You'll find lots of support here, and best to you.

welcome Love2grill.
Glad you want to get sober to keep them in your life.
But remember, to get and stay sober you have to want to do it for yourself. Everyone else will reap the benefits.
