The spirit of SR was with me
I did go out to the TexMex place as planned and did not drink!
When I told the waiter I wanted iced tea, I looked at my friends and they were staring at me with disbelief. After the waiter left with our order, someone said that they thought that's why we came here so we could toast you with margaritas. I said that just being with my friends was "toast" enough and that I wanted them to enjoy themselves, but I was fine with iced tea. They simply shrugged and OK. It really wasn't a big deal. They did not drink as many as they would have if I was joining them, but that was OK too.
I could feel the "spirit" of SR with me. LOL. Thanks!

I might get a call today from one of the people at the party last night asking me about not drinking anything except iced tea. If they call, I will say that I am no longer drinking alcohol (be honest). And I am ready for any push back. I want to be healthier, I want to lose weight, I want to save money, my brother's alcoholism has frightened me, I can have fun without it...all true statements. And I might throw in my age and wanting to live my next 30 years or so toxic free.

Sounds like a stressy possible call Artfriend.
Maybe not answer the phone...
and relax
