I remember 4 years ago, walking out of an AA meeting, thinking 'wooo-hooo, nailed it .. no more voddie for ME' .... 4 years on, I have 11 days x

FreeOwl and Chiffon - yeah, that thought has definitely been on my mind. As much as the relapse threads are difficult, it's important to me to never forget who and what I am.

My favorite person in AA was a guy in his 70s or 80s who got sober in 1969. Every share of his was similar and he always threw in, "I still come to meetings so I can remember. I see that it hasn't changed and I can expect the same misery if I go back to it."

I quit drinking for 18 years - I didn't have any formal recovery "program." But when I picked up again, within a couple or three years I was in the clutches. So, I know I'll never be healed.
