Biggest test so far and I got through it

Was all going really well and haven't posted been on here that much. I was thinking I'm good I've quit drinking I can handle this. Yesterday a close friend told me her cancer has now been diagnosed terminal. I got angry at life, upset and then I needed a drink. I would have got up and poured one if we had any in. I then thought how will me drinking and ending up back at square one help my friend. The answer was not in anyway! So I've made it to day 62, feeling very sad and frustrated with life. But at least I don't have to add hungover to the list of how I'm feeling.

Sending prayers to you and your friend

Being sober is a gift to yourself and to your friend. They will need you in the days to come for support and they will need you to be there sober.

I recently made it through my daughters battle with cancer and death.

It is not easy but I know one thing for sure drinking would have made it worse
