day 1

Today is day 1 for me. I'm doing it for my health and so I can be there for my family for a long time. I look forward to spend more quality time with my wife and kids.

I posted this a few hours ago. reposting for inspiration....:

Three weeks sober, I have a 5 years old son.....our relationship.....even though I tried to hide it from him......is so much better it's scary.

So many more hugs and kisses, and "I love you Daddy" and "You're the best Daddy".

He did notice before.........

Thanks all, day 1 in the books. Day 2 will consist of trip to the pool for long swim and pizza afterwards instead of beer and pizza. Kubis8 and Fridayjude lets do this. Staying strong!
