120 Days of Sobriety

Wow. I can't believe that yesterday marked 120 days of sobriety for me. As indescribably tough as those first few days were, the time has seemingly flown by.

http://www.soberrecovery.com/forums/...hol-detox.html

It took a bit longer for many of the PAWS symptoms to dissipate than expected (I am FINALLY able to get to sleep without major effort or anxiety!), but every day seems to get a little bit easier, and my mind continues to clear itself from decades of alcohol-induced fog.

I'm still struggling with the concept of AA, as I'm not completely sold that the program is "for me." Part of me feels guilty about that, but as long as I'm staying strong and not showing any signs of relapse I can deal with it.

Thanks to all who have offered support and advice over the past four months!

Congrats on 120 days Bob

if you have issues about AA my advice is don't be afraid to talk about them with other AA members

Congratulations! I have 125 and can't believe it either. I agree it's gotten so much easier, but not simple. But pat on the back, and a high five to you!

Well done on four months Bob. I wouldn't feel guilty about your issues with AA. Maybe it's for you, maybe it isn't. Evaluating a program isn't something to feel guilty over. And like Dee suggested, you can always ask questions on the 12-Step sub-forum.
