31 Days!!! Down the drain.............
Thank you so much for your kind words and support.
What really sucks is that I am paying for something that I did YEARS back...Drunk. Talk about Karma.!
I am my own worst enemy. I can kill myself, resurrect me and kill me again. Ja Ja!
Aint that something.. The icing in the cake was this song..

Can you get any more sappy?

Pick yourself up. Dust yourself off. Start over. You didn't lose those 31 days. I'm sure you learned a lot from them. I relapsed after 5 & 1/2 years. Why? Because I forgot that alcohol is cunning, baffling & powerful. BUT...I learned ALOT from my relapse so I guess there is a silver lining. There is always a silver lining. Hang in there. Move forward. If you beat yourself up...you will just drink again & that's what your disease wants. It wants us dead! :-( You can do it!
Just remember....drinking never gets better...it's never gonna be fun for us again (if it ever was). If I were you...I would write down exactly how you feel right now. Write until you have nothing else to say. Next time you want a drink....read it. I bet drinking won't sound as good. Also...while you are writing, try to identify what triggered you to take that first drink on Sunday.
Hang in...Jen
