Hello

Hello all,

My drinking is out of control and affecting every part of my daily life, health and relationships.

This is day 2 and I'm feeling really apprehensive and not well but I have to do something about it.

Don't have a large support base locally so here I am.

Hi Trax,

The support here on the forum ROCKS.

Day 2 is challenging but a great place to be in order to develop clarity for where you need and want to go with your daily life, health, and relationships.

Welcome

Welcome and all the best! You mention that you don't have much support locally. Have you considered AA? They tend to have groups anywhere there is a population centre of any size.

Thanks for the welcomes.
It's about that time of the day when I would be having my first drink and the body is screaming for it. Heart racing, dull headache & light headed, feeling really anxious AND so want it. If I could stop at a couple I would be doing so but have to remind myself I can't be trusted which has proved the case time and time again. Really sucks.

I don't know if I'm doing the right thing by myself but have made my target the end of June to at least give my body a break.

Hey Trax, we have all been there, just stay put here, lurk and read if it's easier initially to gain knowledge and strength if needed, and post your feelings it helps so much especially in the earliest days of sobriety.

Welcome aboard Trax.
