court tomorrow
court tomorrow
I am doing great in recovery, but I'm super anxious today. I have a final DWI court date for 1 of my charges. Shot at jail time. Most likely not but there is a chance. I have another date next month for my second DWI in another county which most likely result in jail time. 37 days sober and going strong but I'm starting to get a little anxious

Will also probably depend on the circumstances of your arrests. Accident v. pulled over for weaving v. checkpoint bust etc.
Congratulations on 37 days sober, Forghetti! Just think of this court date as another step in your recovery. It will help clean up the past and allow you to move forward with your new sober life. I hope you don't end up with jail time and that the judge recognizes your effort to change your life.
Make sure to bring any evidence of your sobriety with you to court. If you have attended AA meetings and have signed paperwork or could possibly get a Dr's note to back you up, it may help your case.
Good Luck!

Hi Forghetti
Thanks for sharing
I am 37 days too and feeling more anxious lately - I just keep telling myself to ride it out and stay sober. Hang in there and I hope for the best for your outcomes!

Thanks guys. I think tomorrow is being treated like a first DWI sentencing. My other pending DWI is concerning me more. I'm sure I'm making it worse in my head, and I know I can't do wnything about it to control other than staying sober.

Congratulations on 37 days.
Good luck tomorrow. Court is nerve-wracking, even when you know it's going to be a relatively simple visit.
Sending prayers your way, especially for some sort of extended rehab arrangement in lieu of serving time for the 2nd DUI. Hang in there. Stay strong.

This response is what makes me glad to be sober. I couldn't have appreciated this support while drinking, or wouldn't. The gesture of thoughts sent my way is so powerful! I'm glad I can now recognize and take joy. Strangers wishing me well.......it's almost overwhelming, and beautiful. Thank u all
Add me to the list of those who'll be thinking of you. I had two dui's as well. Being remorseful & showing I intended to stay sober really helped. Please post what happens - we care.
