Day 2
Day 2
Another cup of tea. That's not a joke or a metaphor, I just mean I'm literally having tea instead of beer, wine, or whiskey.
I woke up this morning without a hangover and it was bright and quite lovely outside. I went for a walk, got groceries. I was feeling good and then on the way back my mind was wandering as it does. Can you really ever be succesful socially without booze? I told my mind to shut up, live in the present, worry about now. I went home. I cleaned like a madman so I had something to do.
It worked.
I saw robocop with my friends, the movie was good, the sobriety and the fact that I had just been rather painfully rejected by one of them wasn't. Oh well, don't drink, go home and read and listen to some positive speakers while drinking your tea (this is me talking to myself).
And here I am.
Another day under the belt.
Cheers. Cheers...with a tea mug.

Fantastic on another day!! Tea has also becohe my new drink of choice. I can stand in the tea section of the store for HOURS picking a new flavor to try. (And its a fraction of the cost of alcohol). Keep goong, you are doing wonderful!
Oh, Kinzoku, I remember those early days of sobriety very clearly - they felt soooo long! But they soon speeded up and I found I had a week under my belt, then a month, and then it just felt normal
Enjoy your tea and savour your new life
