Day 1, living in Japan
I'm a 31yo American living in Japan. Have had a drinking problem for 11 years. Ive been married for four years with two kids. Missed birthdays, lost a lot of money, a few jobs and i could lose my family. It is crystal clear that i cant touch the stuff again. I'm really going to try this time. Ive tried moderation, not even close. Only drink at home, a few really stupid fights and some pretty bad things said.
Time to put an end to this. Im glad to be here.

Sounds like you have the right idea. Have you ever had support for this kind of thing before? Ever tried to quit? We're glad to have you on board...

Day 2, got those feelings of regret, shame, anxiety, fear all floating around in my head. but ill be damned if drink today.
Gonna put this in the books as one more day not drinking.
