Hi Bllut

yeah NA beer got me like that too.

The two things I think are important are support - have sober people around you to lean on help you through - and changes...if your life is anything like mine it was pretty much alcohol-saturated.

You may need to make a few changes if you want to stay away from temptation and stay sober?

D

Ya i've got to get out of the habit of stopping for beer on the way home i felt i was unwinding but then drank more and more. I guess the o'douls don't really help either.

O'douls never worked for me either. Glad you are back and ready to start a new run.

Is there another way for a drunk to quit? Seems to me trying to cut back only prolongs the pain and the depth of the addiction

Welcome bllit. I'm glad you've reached out for some support. I don't think I could have made it without my friends here. It's great to have an understanding group to share with - the 'normies' in our lives rarely get what we go through. It's good to meet you.

I felt a huge weight lifted off me when I started to talk about it with people who understood. I had felt all alone before coming here. Glad you tried AA.
