Sober versus not so sober again
Sober versus not so sober again
Here we go again - just come home from the movie use and......the wife and her sister have been sharing a few drinks together.
I don't mind that, I also don't mind saying good night and laying in my bed sharing this with you.
I just don't like it when you hear the same thing said over and over again - or when you hear things that just don't make full sense. It is quite amazing after 8 months of sobriety to hear things that I am sure I used to say.
Thank goodness it's not me anymore.

good on ya for your sobriety.
When I'm around people who are drinking and I'm sober, it really does amaze me that I spent as long as I did having those same old go-nowhere ******** conversations and how many people spend their lives on barstools - alcoholic or not - having the same conversations over and over again, night after night, weekend after weekend, robbing themselves of LIFE.
