If you aren't specifically looking for animal related movies "Sophies Choice" is pretty gut wrenching.

This is a most amazing video, a true story. There is a moment in the video where Christian the lion recognizes his old friends and it makes you realize how much more there is to the human/animal connection than we know:

Not an odd request at all, we are all different and all at different stages of recovery. If it works for you, then do it! xD

For some really weird reason Grey's Anatomy makes me teary...coming from a "I like knives and smoke guy...
