16 days and I can't believe I'm still sober!

Seriously, I am the LAST person I'd ever thaught could do this! It has been so much easier than I ever expected it to be, but definitly not a free ride. One of my excuses for not quitting was that it would be to hard. There was 3 times early on I almost gave up, once even buying a bottle, but I went on this site and read for a bit, then I took it to one of my friend's house and gave it to him, then i had to explain why I didnt want it, and that is the first time I got to talk about quitting to anyone besides on this site, and that felt good. Thank you everyone for all the support, I know for a fact I would not have made it this far without all of you guys! Now I just gotta keep it going!

hi jps, sometimes it just clicks and you're ready. Congratulations on 16 days. Keep up your guard because sometimes we can get over-confident.

Congratulations I needed to keep coming to repeat the one day at a time action.
After stopping I needed to practice long term sobriety to enjoy what not drinking brought into my life.

BE WELL

Thank you so much everybody for the support, I really cant imagine how I would make it this far without being able to come to this site anytime it got hard to stay sober. Do you know whats funny, I always wondered how lots of people that quit drinking knew how many days they have been sober, even after years. I think I am beginning to understand why.
