I am in trouble

I predict that my rock bottom occurs in the morning. That is all.

Thank you Dee. I have some unresolved bereavement issues I need to deal with. I stuff it down with drink.

It is 4 am here in DC. I need to rest a bit before I lead a 7 hour team retreat. I fear I will be useless and still drunk.

Hey C4G, see that you're a fellow DC-er. How are you doing this morning? I haven't gone back and caught up on all of your posts but did see you tried AA before. Did it not work out for you? Just asking because there are some decent meetings in our area (I work in DC but live in the Bowie/Annapolis area and there's a great network there as well as in NoVA) that might be of help. Haven't tried many of the DC-proper meetings but some friends seem to dig them as well. Lots of options/types of meetings at least...

Anyway, just wanted to say "hi," let you know I am thinking about you, and hoping that you are feeling better today.

((Hugs))

So sorry to hear how you are feeling. I hope you find a way to figure out how you got to this point drinking today and it helps you to move onto a firmer hold on sobriety.

All is not lost.

Stop drinking and try to get some rest. You can avoid your 'rock bottom' if you stop drinking. Please pour out the rest and get some sleep.

Funny how grief and bereavement seem to go together. Seem being the operative word. In reality it's more like adding oil to your gas tank. Pm me if you want to discuss further, I have some experience. Take good care, it can be overwhelming.

Bereavement is a toughie and your slipping is completely understandable. Just try and get through this and then back on the wagon xxxxx
