Cancer fight continues & 90 days sober today!
I'm writing this from the hospital (again), I just want to let everyone know what's going on & why I missed the meeting the other night. My internet is disconnected until I can get around to getting it paid. Paying for my meds & such are more important. But, I've really missed being on line with all of you. I guess it's alright to say that I've been doing my fair share of crying & in a little denial as well. I mean, damn it. I'm scared ********, & really afraid of what's happening inside my body. I'm so grateful that I have so many friends here in the keys & my family is up the road on the mainland. More than I can express, the outpouring of love, & support that I get in SR chat room. There have been so many times that I want to scream & cry, And, then I come here, share those thoughts with my friends, & instantly feel like I'm being protected by my SR crew. You all have this amazing love, & true concern that pulls me outta whatever kinda funk I'm feeling at the time, and, allows me to breath & smile. This is the most awesome site ever and, you all are lightening the weight that I'm carrying a great deal.
I've got 90 days today. 84 of those days spent here with all the love & support one could ask for! There is nothing more meaningful that I could imagine at this time in my journey. I'm blessed that I found god, & returned to the church in January again, & then found you all. I know this is why my heart is able to take in what they say, & to follow my heart & my faith. Lord knows if I'd still been drinking when I found out about all this cancer, Serenity wouldn't be something I'd have been able to grasp! Without the drinking, I get to think clearly about how important everything I do is. Everyday I look for those beautiful sights, thoughts, smells, & thousands of other things that I'd taken for granted for so long. The radiation has been going on since Weds. & they should be putting in my Chemo port this week(maybe tomorrow) so that I can get the PICC line out & feel a little less conscience about it hanging outta my arm.
Well, everyone I didn't want y'all to worry about me because I've been unable to get on line. My brother is going to help me get it turned back on. He has spoken to his boss, & has like 7 months of vacation time saved up. He can come & see me & bring my nephew too. He is coming for a month to spend time with me soon. Which means so much to me. I love my big Brother so very much. He has always looked after me since we were kids, & I know he is hurting because of all this too. But, we both know time is the most important gift that we can share!
I'm going to lay back & read for a while, Take my meds, & try to get some rest this evening.
Thank you all for taking time to read my posts & responding with so much care & sincerity. And, keeping me sane in our circle of love & friendship!

KW, well done on the 90 days, you are so strong and inciteful. Budd has been keeping us marchers in the loop with your treatment, I haven't posted to you before, but know you have been in my thoughts, and I have been sending positive thoughts your way.
I am glad you have your faith, your family and so many friends here to help you walk this dark path, and support you towards good health. I wish you continued strength.
