Hello everyone!
I just wanted to write a little celebratory note on here. I have made it to Day 30! Already I can feel things in my life changing for the better. I am working on being nice to myself and not beating myself up for not doing things perfectly (this was a huge trigger for me, putting so much pressure on myself until I finally just said "screw it!" and got drunk...alone or with lower companions). I have ended an abusive relationship. I am learning to enjoy my life to the fullest. I am taking my sobriety one day at a time but I am also really hoping to have a sober holiday season this year. It would be a real accomplishment for me. Thanks SR friends for cheering me on through the last few weeks, and I hope you will all join me for the rest of the journey!

What a great post to read first thing in the morning! Wonderful news on your 30 days. Keep immersing yourself in recovery, and not drinking will start feeling like the most natural thing in the world!
