And when you get that urge, you just some here and post it. Many people have gotten through urges and cravings here, sobriety intact! Never be afraid to admit a weakness, that takes great strength!

Welcome Calnius. You should never be ashamed because you recognize and are fixing your problem. You can not change the past, but you can the future. Your story was written well and by sharing you are helping others. You know what makes a great story? One with a happy ending. Keep strong and keep yourself out of situations that give you the opportunity to drink. You know we all have a hard enough time without putting ourselves in those situations. I have nightmares every night over and over that I am drinking. I have been sober 8 days and I hope that goes away. Keep your chin up and get some support. I just started AA and by the end of the meeting I was surprised at how kind everyone was. They give you phone numbers to call if you are having trouble, or have questions. You can do this we all can.
