6o days today
Sober for 60 days today, It's been a roller coaster with a sober vacation in the middle of it. Cravings come and go but so far so good. I am however getting more and more anxious because this is not the longest I have gone without alcohol. I have a year under my belt one time and several episodes with 6 to 8 months of no drinking. Every time when I get a few months under my belt I think I can drink moderately, which I know I can't. I really hope and pray that this time it will be different.
All in all feeling pretty good and hopefully all of you who struggle will get inspiration. Life is not bad without Alcohol. I found it difficult however when people wonder why I all of a sudden don't drink anymore. I really don't care to explain to strangers or even friends why I don't drink. I just tell them I don't drink anymore, but I can tell they think it's strange. Oh well, I'm not sober for them but for myself.
Thanks for reading,

That's always the reason for getting into trouble after long term sobriety "moderation." Good heads up for those of us trying to keep it to round one.
Well done on 60 days tnman. Lingering notions that we can return to drinking with control will do us in everytime. I hope you can find a way to remove those lingering notions. For me, I take time each day to remember all the times I set out to drink with control and ended up face-down drunk.
