don't be too hard on yourself.

of course it's "normal" to go through such struggles early in recovery. but that should not be an excuse to give up.
just keep trying, keep putting those early days together. eventually things will become really normal (by all standards).

Yup....very normal. I can't say I had much joy at all in the beginning. It takes time, but is SO worth it.
