Does anyone have experience of this?

Hi Guys!

Hope you are all ok?

I quit (again) 1 week last Sunday. On the Wednesday I came home from work with stabbing pains in my upper stomach (gut area), had to use a hot water bottle and my stomach was really bloated. It went away the next day, but come on again Saturday evening thought I had to go to A&E used hot water bottle again.

Last night it woke me but managed to fall asleep again, I had it a little again this morning.

I don't know whether it's a bug but I havent been sick or anything.

Anybody had this when cutting out the drink?

Luv & hugs

It's probably best to see your Dr if you're concerned Jackie

I agree. See your doctor and tell them whatever you were told at A&E. Take care.

Congratulations on your sober time.

Good advice to visit your GP.

Hi Guys

Thanks SO much for your feedback. I am going to ring Docs today. Unfortunately, my Docs doesn't have an appointment system unless you can wait 3 weeks. The Doc rings you back and if he sees fit he will see you that day or otherwise tell you want tabs to take over the phone.

If I am not happy though, I will go to A&E.

Jackie xx

Please do Jackie. I had something similar a couple of years ago - turns out I'd ripped the stomach lining out of myself. Made it even worse by taking Ibuprofen IF it is the same, then you'll really need meds from Doctor rather than over the counter stuff x
PS The ibuprofen was for the pain - I wasn't abusing those

Hi Jac, hope you get in to see the doctor. Yes, I had pains on and off for the first few weeks and bloating on and off when I'd eat.

Week 5 and things have settled down completely. No pains and no fullness or bloating.
