Women smell desperation on a man so amazingly well its like a bloodhound.
When we are actively using, we get women, sure, other drunks, we have no standards and neither do they.
I will wager that when you get your head right, women will notice you. the RIGHT kind.
If you are angry and entitled vs. cool and confident, well, you get the idea.

I agree with DB. Trying to get a date when you're desperate is like trying to get a job when you're desperate. People of the gender you're attracted to can smell desperation just as much as job interviewers can. You say you accept Jesus as your saviour. Keep working on your relationship with Him, keep doing the right things and what is meant for you will not pass you by.
And like DB also says, when we're using, we have no standards. One thing about being single and sober is that we no longer have beer goggles to lead us into beds we're horrified to wake up in the next morning!
