where's the people that work here?

i've actually put up some good comments and the people that work here usually come around and do a great job of what adding to what i was really trying to say, i mean that, they do.

i put up a lot of comments that i hope were helpful, but i need to get on, way too many hours spent & it's a good time to see the beach & life too. haha, they may be there too.

i'm used to them showing up when i comment, anyway, to the beach i hope, soon... it's like so close, i'm an idiot for not being there.

Everyone who works here is a volunteer.
That means we have lives, we have problems, we have loved ones...we need to sleep...etc.

I'm sorry if it's disappointing iwh, but it's unrealistic to expect we can give everyone some of kind of 24 hour personal valet service. It's just not gonna happen.

Let your comments stand on their own merits

Wait, i don't work here? This is on a voluntary basis? Dang, Dee, i'm sorry. I'll stop hassling you for a paycheck!

Funny thing, i had a newbie show up late one night while i was in the chat room alone. She was convinced that i was either employed by SR or was a computer. I was amazed! Then again, i was hanging out alone in a sobriety chat room at 2 in the morning. I guess that's suspicious behavior to a still suffering alcoholic. She left and told me while it was nice talking to me, she didn't believe me that i was just a run of the mill alcoholic hoping that another alkie would come in to chat. It was kinda funny but pretty darn sad.

My recovery path has been incredible; SR is a HUGE part of it; And for that I am grateful. Grateful to all, Mods, Newbies, Lurkers, Late Niters, Early Risers, The Cleaning Crew, Coffee Dude, Set-up, Literature.....I've never seen a treasurer though, what's up with that? Nor ashtrays, or.........

Often times being helpful is just listening, feeling the pain we go through, Offer suggestions, being there, saying I missed you and KEEP COMING and a lot more. BE WELL.

It's amazing when I stop and think about how few Mods and people running this place there actually are. You all do an amazing job and service! So kudos, thank you, gracias, merci, etc.!!!!!

LOL from me too, breath - among the numerous services you mentioned, we get our own comfy chair or couch or bed; we have nutritional advisers, fitness advisers and personal trainers :-), spiritual mentors, family therapists, employment / unemployment / retirement counsultants, hobbies and activities consultants, the list just goes on and on
