day 1 again....
hello im trying to stay sober again while i can go for days without a beer the problem is having just an occaisonal one drink that messes me up looking for support to do it correctly this time and stay off it for good thank to god and all

I've been attempting sobriety off and on for the past 16 years -- unfortunately, mostly "off" -- longest I've made it is for 1-1/2 years twice during that 16-year period. The only things that work for me are: 1) Staying close to God, through and with Our Savior Jesus Christ; 2) Working the AA 12-Step Program (I mean right in the MIDDLE of it!); 3) Volunteering or any type of SERVICE work (helping others takes my mind off myself and the racing, chaotic thoughts that come into my mind!!!).

I could survive on 2/wk, comfortably maintain on 3/wk, thrive on 4/wk, grow on 5/wk. My choice.
Do you notice that your problems get bigger as your meeting schedule gets smaller ?

ummm not really sometime aa meetings bother me when talking about drinking ...im still working so cant go every day then we have the people whom show up and you know have been drinking im not judging and i know you are not suppose but it just doesnt seem correct... church helps also im not new to sobriety just cant stop from having one beer once in a while and know the "saying one will hurt" then i have my sponser that i work with and see every day thank for you thoughts and imput j
