Hi!

My name is Norm and I have registered here with a little hope that I can talk to people that have also become part of this vicious circle, that alcohol brings into our lives. At some point I will try to post my story here, but for now I am still under the influence of the "green devil" and trying to kick it. Not sure what should I say, but right now I am pretty much at the rock botom - one of so many in past five years. Alcohol has become a permanent part of my life. It is clearly insane to continue to drink, but I cannot stop. Sometimes I drink because I just fear the panic that creeps up to me when I don't drink. I am sure you guys know the feeling. So.. just wanted to say hi..

The anxiety after quitting used to drive me back to drinking too, just to stop the shaking and panic. I had to get medical help to quell those symptoms so I wouldn't drink.

I used to think I was stuck in that cycle too, but I found my way out thru daily visits to this site and my counseling sessions.

I hope you find the way that works for you. You can do this!

We have all been stuck in that cycle before and found a way to break out, so don't lose hope. Personally I found my way out with the help of this site and AVRT, among other things along the way. Glad you're here x
