Closed AA Meeting for first time?

I'm on day 3 and its been a tough one and it would be nice to talk with other admitted alcoholics. Is it OK to go to a closed meeting as an admitted alcoholic? I have no more withdrawals just tired. Thanks!

There is really no difference between open and closed meetings. If a non alcoholic wanted to come, they would probably be asked to leave a closed meeting. But it is pretty rare for a non-alcoholic to try to attend, so in practical terms the two meeting types are not different.

To attend a closed meeting, you do not have to admit you are an alcoholic, however you must have a desire to stop drinking.
