Grateful to you
Hi everyone. I really hope I am doing this right because I have no clue what I am doing! I apologize if I am posting in the wrong place or going about this incorrectly, but please let me know! Anyway, I really appreciate the feedback I got on my first post and thoughts on PAWS (post acute withdrawal) which is probably what I am going through right now, almost 5 months sober. This is truly a struggle. I am grateful that i found this site and have been reading alot of the posts, which I am finding helpful. Thank you!
Today I took a menta l"day off" which was helpful. I think i have THOUGHT myself into exhaustion. We need to relax while we recover, I guess.

Welcome back, Soberhope. Reading up on the physical and psychological symptoms of alcohol withdrawal has been an awakening experience for me. In addition to PAWS, you may want to look at AVRT (Addictive Voice Recognition Technique) for tips on dealing with cravings and urges. You will find a lot of information and support here. Congratulations in your sobriety, five months is a big achievement!
