The booze tastes AWFUL!!

I have to remember that. I really have never liked the taste. Give me a milkshake any day. HELLO STARBUCKS!

This is just a reminder to ME that it is the addict in me that wants any of the alcohol....

Lucky you! Some of us still liked the taste!

I do admit a vanilla milk shake or a premium cream soda tastes much better!

I like Ale beer and some light beer but hate wine or doing shots. Which is why I put 'NO ALCOHOL' on my ID.

You have a point there, but I might add that any alcoholic beverage that DOES taste good probably has way too much fat and calories in it anyway, which is a big no-no for me. If I want something fattening and tasty, I can think of a Kazillion other things I'd rather have.

Chocolate Mousse Cake, Mac & Cheese, Porter House med-rare, Peppridge Farm Short Bread cookies, any breakfast sandwich from McDonald's... I'm glad I don't actually eat like this. :P

I really only liked one drink and stuck to it. It's funny, I had a dream last night and in it I drank a 16 oz. draft beer and then felt terrible that I had relapsed. In the dream I was thinking "why the hell did you drink a draft beer? You hate draft beer". I was so happy to wake up and find out it wasn't real. Although part of me said, "if you're going to drink in a dream, too bad it wasn't a Captain and diet" lol

It wasn't about the taste in the last few years for me. It was the effect.

I always thought I loved the taste, but perhaps focusing on the taste as a reason to have a drink or ten was part of my denial that I had a problem.
