People who suffer from migraines will often get one, AFTER, a stressful event is over.....the "let down" so to speak. Kind of sounds like this may be the case for you. Hoping you get some sleep tonight....tomorrow is a new day

The dread and other emotions and thoughts that go with it are a product of the addiction. They instill a desire to keep drinking as I feared sobriety would be worse. I was wrong. Freedom is possible

Hope you are feeling better today, check in and keep us posted. You haven't mentioned how you feel about your dog or what happened, maybe talking about it here (anonymously) will help?
Take care, glad to read that your sister is out of the hospital....and i have a cold too.

How right you are instant. Last night did not sleep well, anxiety is through the roof. Cold sweats hot flashes odd dreams stuffy nose headache. But other than that I'm feeling pretty darn good. Slowed down was earlier in the binge than last time so overall feeling way better only 24 hours in. I guess the main difference is my anxiety is way higher. Oh well.

A month seems terrifying and endless.

No kidding! But you don't have to stay sober for a month.

You only have to stay sober for 1 day, today.

The ironic thing is, everyday when you wake up, it's always "today."

drayer,
Sleep and anxiety are difficult for many of us in early sobriety, but it does get better.
