As long as I_________, then my addiction is not in charge. I AM.
As long as I_________, then my addiction is not in charge. I AM.
As long as I keep noticing my hopeless thinking and challenging it,
then my addiction is not in charge, I am.
What about YOU?
then my addiction is not in charge, I am.
What about YOU?

As long as I recognize, expose, and deny my destructive impulses...
As long as I am brutally honest with myself and others...
As long as I use my academic logic and not my addict logic...
As long as I remind myself every emotion is not a crisis...
... then my addiction is not in charge, I am.

As long as I live in the present, then my addiction is not in charge, I am.
As long as I Trust, then my addiction is not in charge, I am.
As long as I nurture myself, then my addiction is not in charge, I am.
As long as I have the courage to change the things I can, then my addiction is not in charge, I am.
As long as I have the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, then my addiction is not in charge, I am.
As long as I have the wisdom to know the difference, then my addiction is not in charge, I am.
As long as I do what I am supposed to do, then my addiction is not in charge, I am.
As long as I remain humble, then my addiction is not in charge, I am.
As long as I can be with myself, then my addiction is not in charge, I am.
As long as I remember to be grateful, then my addiction is not in charge, I am.
This is fun!!! Thank youl

As long as I face the inevitable frustrations and challenges of life instead of hiding from them...
As long as I commit to doing first things first, so that I care for myself and my family with responsibility and without guilt...
As long as I believe I am capable of getting better and creating a happy, purpose-driven life for myself...
As long as I realize that having bad days is part of the human experience...
As long as I believe that I am capable of solving problems with wit, determination and integrity and without alcohol - even in the darkest of circumstances -then my addiction is not in charge. I AM.
