I got myself some tamales. Second batch in less than a week. The real deal, hand-rolled by doe-eyed señoritas while mariachis strum ballads for the brokenhearted ... or at least that's how they taste.

Dinner will be followed by an unconscionable number of ice cream sandwiches.

Happy New Year, fellow revelers! ¡Olé!

Yummy everyone!

Dream dinner:
Chopped salad with creamy Italian dressing
Bang Bang shrimp (the kind from Bonefish Grill - delish!)
Rare filet mignon topped with creamy horseradish crab sauce
Baked sweet potato with whipped butter
Fresh green beans sautéed in garlic and oil
Decadent dessert of any kind (not picky about my sweets!)

Actual NYE dinner:
1/2 peanut butter sandwich.
Twix candy bar

LOL!!!!!!! Perhaps I will venture out tomorrow for my dream dinner since I'm already in my jammies and headed to sleep very soon...NYE doesn't tempt me to drink at all. Even when I was drinking I purposely didn't overdo it on NYE. Passive aggressive alcoholic! My friends (I use that term loosely) used to call it amateur night. Back then it was funny, now not so much!!!

I am so proud of all of us on here posting and eating and being sober. The gift of sobriety is that much better with all of you to share it with

Another Bang Bang Shrimp fan here!!!

I'm sure you already know that Twix makes ice cream candy bars as well. Sinful.

The train has left the station Dub, no stopping it now

I went Asian tonite, chicken wings in chilli garlic sauce, topped with green onions and sauteed ginger on a bed of egg fried rice garnished with lemon zest. Oh yes Santa did get me a wok for Christmas.

We had fondue, cupcakes and water. Sitting at home watching schlocky TV with the spouse = better than being out freezing, wasted and likely failing to actually have fun.
