Day 14

Today is day 14 and I kind of feel like drinking. I'm not going to, but my husband's at work and the kids are off to bed and it's one of my favorite times to open the bottle. Who I'm I kidding? Anytime I opened a bottle it was my favorite time But, for now I'm going to distract myself with SR, TV, and some Big Book before an early bedtime.

Congrats on two weeks...Hang on to it. There is no point in having to do that over.

Those cravings will get further apart and easier to dismiss. You've got the right idea redirecting your mind toward healthier things and avoiding boredom. Stick with it and good luck.

For most of us, staying sober even 1 day is an accomplishment. Two weeks is even more of an accomplishment. You might FEEL like drinking but your actions show that you're committed to staying on this better, sober path. I'm not a mother but I have helped raise children, my ex of many years has two girls, we are still close, and I know how hard it can be to deal with the challenges of being a mom and learning not to drink. I think you're awesome. Keep up the good work and thank you for looking out for me. I appreciate those words because they are true. Hugs

You should go to some meetings! It's amazing how much better I always feel after I leave!
