This happens in recovery. One way to deal with it is to think back what made you slip or relapse. What triggered it. And avoid that in the future. Also do a bit of reading and/or counseling on what causes slips or relapses. Try to develop a plan or technique of dealing with those issues. You can't learn tennis without hitting the ball into the net now and then, or golf, without hitting into the rough.
