Well, I made it 30 days. Knew I would but it's been stressful. Being able to experience emotions without numbing them every night has been tough, but I'm getting there and commited to living my life sober.

Thanks to everyone and SR, it's been so helpful.

Good for you!!! My heartfelt congrats. I am only on day 5 (and with some drama tonight Im proud tomorrow will still be day 6), but I am looking forward to day 30 too!!!! Great job

Hang in there, it seems obvious but I have to remind myself that people deal with life sober, a novel concept! Being sober does not mean everything will go your way, that's another fact I have to remind myself of often.

Congrats Toss!!!! I am so proud of you! Lil Golden is on Day 34, I am on 32 and you are on Day 30. I think we make a great staircase with nowhere to go but up!!!

I have been following you and Lil and escapist since we all started around the same time. I am so glad that we are all still on track.

In the past as the sober days ticked off, I would subconsciously be planning when I would eventually drink again. Not this time.

The beast is very lonely, which thrills me!

Indeed. I drank because I didnt want to deal with the things I did while drunk and have a good honest look in the mirror. Ive been "coping" with alcohol since I was 14....so its about time I learned some healthy coping and life skills!

Way to go toss i know how hard it is to get 30 you have worked hard and deserve to take a moment, relax, and be happy with what you've done. Way to go!
