Made it to another meeting (same one as last Sunday night). Heard something very comforting and awe-inspiring: I was worried about someone who last week was desperately depressed over finding his girlfriend w/ another man and wanted to use again and also get violent. I had him on my mind all week, fearing he didn't make it. Well, tonight he was there and had worked it through and was doing incredibly well. Higher power or not, this is what I call "spiritual." It demonstrated an amazing ability to come through a very difficult and painful situation with grace. I'm not a "religious" person, but again, came away with a sense of comfort, felt "part of" others, and am glad I pushed through not wanting to go and WENT. Glad I did. Sometime I might even TALK!

Sounds like a good one...I always get something out of a meeting....That's what keeps me coming back. Went to one yesterday...10 people from a rehab were there...That really takes you back...As soon as one of them shared...They all wanted to talk....It was a trip....Good meeting too.

A Higher power is a very useful tool. I know that whenever I don't pray, my day sucks. Prayer helps me get through the day. I get drunk, We stay sober!
