One old timer took up like an hour but who am I to judge. I'm thinking of entering a stand up comedy show here but I may do it sitting down. It would take nerves sober but what dos not.

Just about to make dinner - a sort of chicken thigh casserole with potatoes, baby sweetcorn, red peppers, tomatoes, olives, red onion. (basically just throw it all in in one go...) Shall I send you some over?

I am grateful for meetings that follow a fluid format. A few meetings I go to the request that you keep your sharing from 3 to 5 minutes so everyone has a chance to share. You got to think of the newcomer. If they have a negative experience at their first meeting, it is not fair to them. BTW--the chicken dinner sounds tasty!!
You can always try a differant meeting. I go to a meeting where one of the individuals falls into the "Grave mental and emotional problem" category. He/She is just plain nuts. Some days He/she is not on the planet but other days He/she really has something to say. At first I resented him/her but now I have come to love him/her at least sort of and I always listen to what he/she has to say. One thing I can not argue with is he/she has been sober a lot longer than me.
Oh Chardonnay, that's gross! I got enraged by a woman eating a sandwich beside me and slurping coffee but I can't stand the sound of chewing or eating so I think it's probably more my issue! Clipping nails is too much!
Dang my resonce reallly made me realize I have a controll issue. Like I can do it better than anyone else. I really need to let it go and take care of myself though if I was in charge I would not let a guy go on for thirty minutes. I was definately a teacher too long. If I speak at a meeting which is almost never it is 3 to 5 minutes which I'm sure you find hard to believe as much as I post on SR.
