free rehab- new person

Hi, I am new to this and site but this is not my first time trying to stop. I now think I need something more complete. Such as just being around only sober people till I can overcome these cravings and afterwards set up more of a support system does anyone have advice as to free rehab programs that will not affect my work? Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you.

Hi new friend. First, try our September thread. Lots of people stopping this month and we love new friends. Tons of support. Next, have you considered online or real life programs? AA can be done online, or in person. Also more secular plans exist. Try the Secular forum for more on that. And finally, congrats on taking this step and finding us!

Google the Salvation Army program in your area. It's free.

Welcome to SR APMAN

When you say something that won't effect your work, do you mean so you don't have to take time off? I carried on working while detoxing but fortunately, other than feeling really rotten and tired I wasn't too bad. Have you talked to a doctor? They might be able to come up with the best plan for you x

Hi APMAN - welcome

The only free rehab I know of is the Salvation Army - but that's inpatient, I presume you mean outpatient rehab?

I don't know of any free IOP programmes in CA myself but others may have local knowledge, Some may be subsidised or sliding scale tho...

You can use this national database - just enter your location (a ZIP code is ok)- hit the 'select services' button - tick outpatient and the various payment options you wish for and you'll get a list of results

Substance Abuse Treatment Facility Locator
