Going to my first sporting event sober, nervous.
I am confused are you saying I should keep drinking just less?
Hi WWG,as far as what your wife said about being excited about being sober two days, i think sometimes people just don't know what to say, or how to react, so they just say SOMETHING, it doesn't have to make sense, it's all new for you guys. have a great sober weekend! Hey, a little on that same note kind of, i havent had refined sugar for four days and i feel like i just got nominated for a nobel peace prize....
I had a great time last night at the Patriots game. I had a Pepsi and an Ice Coffee and no alcohol. This is the first sporting event since before I was 21 that I have not been drunk or at least buzzed. I am proud of myself, and was able to enjoy the game. I even told my friend about my issues and he was shocked about how I drank 8-10 beers a night, and had no clue. I told my wife how proud I was of myself and that I am feeling better, and she does not seem to really care all that much.
And go Patriots!!!
I'm quite sure TorontoGuy was referring to how he used to interact with his spouse and NOT saying you should go guzzle in the garage while pretending to be engrossed in the recycling pile - just sayin
Congrats on your outstanding sober outing. Just wait until you hit 36 days - it will make you and your wife equally proud. Walk on and keep up the great work!
