I'm going to a movie, maybe a quick bite to eat. I still have fun and enjoy time with my friends, but it took awhile. Now the things I used to enjoy are made so much better when I actually remember them

Reading is definitely something I never did when I was drinking, and I never realized before I got sober how much I actually missed it.
I have more and more fun playing gigs when I don't drink, and being able to run/work/read etc. when I wake up feels amazingly good too.
We had a gig last night, I just came back home, and I'm gonna go work on some recording in an hour. Wouldn't have been possible if I had been drinking.
How much time I lost getting drunk/hangover!!
Even the other night, I saw friends I hadn't seen in a while (cause I'm touring), we had fun (they were drinking a little, I wasn't) and feeling good and being able to remember everything the day after made me enjoy it even more.

My job is really busy right now, so I don't think fun is in the immediate picture. I am enjoying just quiet time-reading,tv,petting the cat, and not being caught up in the frenzy of a drinker's world. Less time hungover, more time to sleep, reflect, and relax. Much needed break from chaos!
