Jealousy
Jealousy
I have been sober for a few weeks now with a hellish detox, tons of headaches, still not sleeping well and having to work 60 hour weeks. Tired is the name of the game...
I know this sounds bad but I found out my friend is going to treatment today at a super fancy detox/inpatient place. I find myself being very jealous of being able to have one on one counseling sessions, a safe detox and time to reflect.
I hate to sound horrible but I wish I had/could have that too...
Just a bad day and I needed to vent.... thanks all.

count your blessings as they say. rehab isn't a magic bullet. it's a great starting point but eventually we all have to deal with the real world. for some people coming out of rehab that can be quite a shock. i know it was hard for me and i was doing partial hospitalization. when my time was done i suddenly had 8 hours a day that were unscripted and i had been a day drinker. unfortunately, i went back to my old habits.
it's okay to feel jealous, just don't let it wear you down. we all come to sobriety in our own way. be happy for your path and keep walking it!

I'd enjoy a vacation to Austrailia too but with limited
mobility and funds....that is not going to happen...
I suggest you give yourself a treat....I get manicures and wear
bright colors and lots of bling.
If you feel shakey in your sobriety....please find someone who
is newer than you and offer your assistance.
When I worked a 60 hour week...I too was tired and often aggravated. I was aware of HALT. That helped.
Prayer keeps me in emotional balance...
