Starting again, sad and need help.
I can't seem to quit on my own. I have a hard time asking for help or going to AA meetings. I know I need to do this for myself and my family!! Going to make it to a meeting tonight. Please pray for me and wish me luck.

You got it prayers sent your way.
Good to hear your going to a meeting , just walk thru those doors for the first time, is the hardest part. If your like me I felt wonderful afterwards and never stopped going. Love it.
Come tell us how it was for you.

Good luck and welcome. SR is a great place - there are so many people here who can help you. YOU CAN DO THIS! YOU REALLY CAN! If we can do it, you can too. It is hard - unbelievably hard at times - but it is doable, and it gets easier with time. It won't always be this hard forever. Don't be afraid to reach out for help - help is something EVERYONE needs at some point in their lives, and it takes a strong person to admit that they need help, and an even stronger person to take that help. You are already on that path. Good luck for tonight, I hope you benefit from it. Stick around here and post, it will most definitely help you.
I admitted to another alcoholic that I'm not very good at asking for help..to which they replied that 'that's why so few of us recover'. I have to say that scared me a bit and I'll definitely be asking more often!
Please don't be afraid to ask for help at AA or here on SR. That's what we're here for
Glad you're posting and good luck tonight x
