Welcome to SR ColoradoTiff...I think those feelings are pretty normal....I think my first week or two I was ready to rip a few heads off. This too shall pass. Hang in there..Do the next right thing and don't drink today!
Sounds about right! Keep hydrated, try not to bite the head off anyone helping you and NO DRINKING, lol. Welcome to SR. Do you have any plan of action for how you're going to stay sober when you're feeling better and the cravings hit? AA has been working for me. Other members have had success with other recovery plans.
Whatever your plan is, a good first step is to see your physician and get checked out, letting them know your an alcoholic in early recovery. Just to get an idea of if you've done any damage to your body that needs to be dealt with. Also to help deal with any possible withdrawls you may be going through as alcohol withdrawl is dangerous and can be deadly.
Again, welcome to SR. It's a nifty site with tons of info and support. I hope we can help you out on the road to recovery!

Hi...I'm fairly new also and have those days. But the GREAT days in between make up for it. My wallpaper says "Well I haven't beaten anyone to death today with a chair, so I'd say my people skills are improving"...lol...That helps on a cranky day. I'm in week 7..and I tell you it'll be different. There are days when I feel so good I could explode! My brain chemistry is at work getting back to normal. Stay around

Welcome , I know those first few days were always really hard on my body. I am glad to hear your beginning to feel better. It takes time.
I used to live in Boulder, I miss living in the mountains, and Colorado in general.
