Day one again..already had 15 months sober
Hi all,
I quit drinking on Jan 1, 2010 and went 15 months. Then I moved to Maine and and started drinking again. I have been drinking for a year now and it was like I never quit. I drink to blackout probably 6 nights a week. So here I am 4/4/2012...swearing it off again. I could definately use the support I got from you guys the first time. I know I can do this.

Hey there,
Maybe we can be a source of support with each other because I quit awfully close to you...I quit on January 5, 2010 and made it until Thanksgiving of that year, or 10 months......I am on day 9 of no alcohol today......your post motivates me because you don't often see someone with a close sobriety date to yours...I NEVER thought I'd have another drink again and it all started with an "innocent" glass of wine at Thanksgiving of 2010...and here I am in April of 2012 going WTF?? So believe me, I can relate.

Welcome back, Beligerent. Yeah, I have started drinking again after long sobriety....it is baffling, isn't it? However, you know that you can do it because you did it before. Just closely examine what led to you starting again - there is more than likely a lesson there. Take care and best wishes.
Welcome back, Beligerent. You've made the right decision, and we are here to help you begin again. I'll have 8 months this Saturday, but I'm still just a drink away from starting over, so I keep plugging away a day at a time.
The best to you.
The best to you.

So glad another person posted about being sober and this day being their sobriety date. I don't feel so alone now. Thank you for being honest. Because that's one of the hardest things for me to do. That's why i'm starting over, because i never could be honest
